As an independent player, we have been providing consulting, verification and certification services since 1992, both in the financial world and in the (social) economy. Knowledge development is part of our DNA: we conduct research, share ideas and best practices with various stakeholders and raise public awareness. Within the financial sector, Forum Ethibel is widely recognized as a benchmark, not least thanks to our annual ERSIS study.

Job description:

The research officer's tasks are versatile and varied. The mission focuses mainly on the following projects:
- Carrying out financial audits: remote or on-site verification and certification. In these assignments, you will focus primarily on the sustainability criteria and policies of financial products, investment portfolios of banks, asset managers or institutional investors.
- Strengthen the organization's service offering: You will participate in the development and expansion of the existing range of financial and non-financial services. As these products are developed in-house, cross-disciplinary skills are required to master the project as a whole (market knowledge, organization, regulatory studies, marketing, communication, etc.).

- Carry out sustainability research assignments: mainly in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable/socially responsible investment (SRI). Through partnerships with various organizations, you participate in raising awareness and promoting sustainability to the public (e.g. ERSIS annual study, media, etc.).

- Carry out social audits: verification and certification of players active in the social economy, remotely or on site. You will prepare sustainability reports, which require a proactive and critical approach.

- Contribute to other tasks: ad hoc according to the needs of the organization.
These tasks are steered and supported by the team.
Profile required:
- You hold a Master's degree: either in economics/finance with a social affinity, or in the humanities, and have an affinity for the fields of economics and finance.
- Experience in auditing investment portfolios and/or managing investment portfolios is an asset.
Overall:
- You recognize yourself in Forum Ethibel's mission and would like to make your contribution to a more eco-responsible and socially responsible society.
- You have an affinity with the concepts of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable/socially responsible investment (SRI).
- You have a critical mind and are able to take a step back from operational issues. You are able to make proposals.
- You are able to deliver accurate work, process and apply new information efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- You can work in a team or independently in a human-sized organization.
- You are fluent in English.

- You are fluent in French or Dutch.

- You have a good command of the MS Office pack.

- Open-ended, full-time contract (40 hours per week, with recuperation leave).
- Remuneration: gross monthly salary according to company scale, 13th month pro rata to period worked.
