Vigeo and EIRIS announce merger
October 15, 2015

Forum ETHIBEL's ESG research partner Vigeo, which is headquartered in Paris, has recently announced the merger with the UK based ESG research agency EIRIS. Both companies have tied up in a deal where the EIRIS Foundation, which owns EIRIS, will take 20% of the equity of the combined company named Vigeo-EIRIS. Vigeo has raised € 6.3 million in new capital to part finance the EIRIS acquisition and fund future Vigeo-EIRIS expansion.

With a team of 180 employees, the new entity will analyse up to 10,000 issuers (equity and bonds). Vigeo-EIRIS will have offices and operations in France, UK, Belgium, Italy, Morocco and the US together with a global network of ESG partner research firms in Australia, Brazil, Germany, Israel, Mexico, South Korea and Spain. The combined company will be headquartered in Paris and led by Vigeo’s Nicole Notat as CEO.

In compiling the Ethibel Investment Register Forum ETHIBEL relies on data collected by Vigeo rating with regard to the ESG performances of companies and international, national and local institutions.
