Vigeo merges with Eiris
February 25, 2016

As announced in October 2015, the French rating agency Vigeo and its British counterpart Eiris have now completed their merger into the new VigeoEiris rating bureau. Both companies were already important players in the ESG-rating domain and have thus joined their strengths to create a larger entity.

This results into a broad geographical breadth, with agencies from Milan over Jerusalem to Mexico-City, analysing about 4.000 companies altogether. An expanded team of 180 analysts, moreover, ensures a significant expansion of ESG expertise and knowledge. Not surprising that we at Forum ETHIBEL are pleased with this capacity increase, bringing us a wider universe of analysed companies and more ample ESG know-how.

A new company, of course, receives a new logo, still representing both entities. The colour indicates the difference between the various sections of the company: grey text with blue and red represents VigeoEiris as a whole, while the red and blue logos are used for the Enterprise and Rating department respectively.
