Human capital and social dialogue in European companies

Vigeo has recently published a short report on Human Capital and Social Dialogue.

This report analyses to what extent new social challenges are dealt with in collective bargaining in European companies. These new social challenges include issues such as lifelong learning, stress management, equal opportunities policy, etc. Over the last 5 years there has been a considerable increase in the number of companies that have extended the scope of their collective bargaining. However, only a minority of these companies (29%) fully embrace a qualitative approach. Another remarkable finding: once an issue has entered the social dialogue, it remains incorporated.
