Sustainable banking for Flemish municipalities
May 19, 2016

http://www.theneweconomy.com/For local councils, sustainable banking seems a logical aspect of a socially engaged policy. However, how to ensure such a sustainable capital probably remains still unclear to many municipalities.

VVSG wants to answer those questions with two training sessions about sustainable investing, and does so with the help of Forum ETHIBEL and FairFin. The session takeplace on June 2 and 7, in Ghent and Leuven.

During the training, Forum ETHIBEL will present a general overview of sustainable banking. What is sustainable investment? And why would a local council invest its capital in a sustainable way? More specifically, we will take a look at certain sustainable financial products that might by of interest to municipalities. By doing so, Forum ETHIBEL hopes to inspire local politicians and officials even more.

More information can be found on the VVSG website.
